Let's talk LIES

So here I go off on one of my ramblings. In the last few days I have been asked about lies or more so LYING.  We all know it's wrong. I mean it's even one of the 10 Commandments, right? But why then do people feel the need to lie? Why do they feel the need to ask people to lie for them?  It is beyond me. I mean I am talking about people you would never think about asking you to tell a lie for them.

What exactly is a lie? Webster's defines it as, to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive

Let's face it, lying will get you no where. It only leads to more lies. Then the more you lie, the more you have to invent more lies to cover the ones you already have.

I wish those that lie had the same condition that Pinocchio had. That their nose grew every time they spoke a lie.  That would be one way to find out if you was being lied to.

Why??? I mean really is it too hard to tell the truth?  Admit your wrong doings without deceiving others.  I am not saying that I have nev…

What the Bible says::::Issue 7

Hello all. So it's been a few days since my last post. I need to remind myself not to post when a little bit upset about a certain situation, but if I can't scream at the person and can't shake some sense in them, then what am I to do? Blog about it without calling names. That is what I can do. It helps to clear my mind when I write. Now on to today's subject.

Colossians 1:23 says If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
There are 4 things here that I see in this verse. They are the conditions of the blessings that deal with verse 22 of Colossians Chap. 1. You see in verse 22 He was in the flesh and took atonement for our fallen manhood. He took on our true manhood and died a death meant for us. He in his manly flesh and not his spiritual body took on our sins. So that He could present us as ho…

One of my PET PEEVES

You can't walk with God. Say your a Christian. Then say something that Jesus would have never said about a certain race or group of people.  That is not how it works.

Jesus even supped with sinner. Jesus talked to the Samaritans .

So don't tell me your a Christian when you call ugly names or put whole races down. How can you be a Christian and not have the Love of Christ in you? The greatest commandments was TO LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.  It's not rocket science. Or is it talking about your relation brother. It's talking about people around you. ALL PEOPLE!!

(I am NOT talking about our president either.)

People seem to amaze me when they speak about God and then say something totally inappropriate right after. This is one of many PET PEEVES!!!!!

Through the Changes of Life

So this morning as I was going though the normal routine of a Friday morning, a thought came to me. It was the thought about how much things have changed in my life and the things that God has helped me to change. You know I make references all the time to friends and family about how God has turned me around and took certain things away from me and how He helps me to hold my tongue.  I came to realize there are several things that have changed.

I know that passage in Ecclesiastes 3 that tells  of all the seasons that people go through.  There is a time for everything.  It's all there. Read it for yourself.

But back to what I am talking about.

Just the other day I was asked about a certain movie. If I had ever seen it. This particular movie was a horror movie. Now since living the life of a Christian and especially being more conscience of what I partake of, I told the person that I hadn't watched that movie, nor did I have the desire to watch that movie, and it wasn't allo…

What the Bible says::: Issue 6

Sorry for the delay in writing. As I have said before it just comes in spurts. Life situations or things that the Lord lays on me is usually where the story begins.

So the Lord has put 2 things on my heart to write about.  One of those is easy and can be written about with out much study. The other,, WELL, let's just say it will take me a few days of studying to actually get out what He has for me to see.

But on to my ramblings.

We have all heard that saying " God will never put more on you than you can bear".  Is that a biblical statement? And if so,,where is it located in the bible?

The Answer.

Well it's kind of not in the bible but it kind of is in the bible.

The bible actually says and this is where that quote above sort of originated from.  1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,…
