Its a tough thing. We all have to go through it. None of us are exempt from it. None of us can escape to somewhere that it doesn't happen. There is no such a place.
The bible says it this way,To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1-22.
Well we have just went though one of those seasons with a dear friends departure. She has finally made it home. One of the saints of old. A elder to the ladies in our church. A Sister in Christ.
We met Mrs. Linda in 2012 when we started going to the church we attend now. She was always kind and welcoming. As time grew we just fell in love with this sweet lady. She was like a mother, grandmother and friend all balled up into one. Never heard her say a harsh word to anyone. Always told everyone she loved them and was praying for them. From our time of meeting until her departure to Heaven, we were friends. My husband and I would go and visit quiet often and minister the word to her when she cou…
In the study today I read a verse in Psalms and it brought to question, how are you building and who is at the root of it? You see when we take on a building project we have to start somewhere, it is usually at the beginning, we usually lay that corner stone first. But you see there is some that think that you can build walls before you lay a foundation.
In Psalms 127:1 it says Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
So you see in this verse it's telling us that we need the Lord to build a house. Whether it be an artificial house, such as the temple, or the royal palace, or any structures for that matter. Solomon built many structures, but they would have never succeeded without the Lord. Of all things that we build or build upon it will only succeed if it depends entirely upon God's blessing. Psalms 127 verse 1 states that it is VAIN to attempt it otherwise. In all affairs we must loo…
The other night my preacher husband and I was discussing the differences in a few words biblcally. Sometimes preachers just preach what they have heard, or what has been handed down throughout the generations. Which should be a big no no. That is where a preacher confuses people, because most times they take the preacher at his word and don't research it for themselves. Christian people have become lazy and rely on everyone else to do the work for them. I am so glad that I have a husband that will search and study it out for himself. We say that if you're going to tell me about the bible show me where its at in the bible. Prove it to me.
Any who, back to what I was saying about the words. We got into a discussion about what Unchaste, Chaste, Chastisement meant.
We we found out that, Unchaste means::Relating to or engaging in sexual activity, especially of an illicit or extramarital nature:
Chaste means:: Abstaining from extramarital, or from all, sexual intercourse: Not having…
