Looking to purchase a home

This year and throughout the end of last year, the Idea of purchasing a home has been weighing heavily on my heart. I am not getting any younger and neither is my husband so we are in the process of looking, and talking about the idea. We haven't made up our minds entirely, but one thing for sure the idea is not going away on my part. I would love to have a little piece of earth to call my own. I love gardening and all things pertaining to homesteading. I don't want anything big or extravagant, just something that I can have maybe animals or just a garden.  Gardens are mainly what I want. Although having a few chicken's or a goat, or maybe a sheep or two isn't out of the question. Where we have been renting seventeen years out of twenty two years we have wasted a lot of time and money making someone else rich. Now don't get me wrong we have had some wonderful landlords, and they have all been very nice to us, but owning our own would be so much better.  We want to be able to leave our children something just like any other parent's dream is. Hopefully it will be a home and some land.

So here we are, searching the want ads and the listing on craigslist.com and the local real estate companies to see what is out there in our price range. We have already done a background credit report. It's not hot but it's not good either. Coming from a family that makes it by NOT having any debt you would think that our credit score would be out the roof. But because of having no debt, it is low. We don't live on credit cards. Don't even own them. We don't use banks, and we own our cars.  So that being said, ours scores aren't great.  SOOOO the challenge is to find a bank or finance company willing to work with us.

Please to all that are believing prayer warriors out there, help us to pray that something will come along that we can afford and that we will get the right bank or finance company to help.  Only God can move a mountain, but we have to be faithful and do some moving to, to get it started in the right direction. As always God first.
